Humanitarian Memorials
A simple definition for humanitarianism is the active belief in the value of life. Those who have a true belief and love for human and animals provides assistance to those to who are suffering and work towards improving their conditions and brining them a better quality of life. Humanitarianism is based on the principles that all beings deserve respect and dignity and should be treated as such. There are memorials built for those who have worked and dedicated their lives to treating and helping others and improving humanity. Due to the impact many of these humanitarian had on the world, numerous memorials have been built to honor them in various geographical locations. As I am presented with the honor of visiting them I will photograph them and upload the images to their respected gallery.

Who Was Mahatma Gandhi?
Mahatma Gandhi, byname of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, India.He was a lawyer, politician, social activist, and writer who became the leader of the nationalist movement against the British rule of India. He came to be considered the father of his country. Gandhi is internationally esteemed for his doctrine of nonviolent protest (satyagraha) to achieve political and social progress. He was the architect of a form of non-violent civil disobedience that would influence the world. His life and teachings inspired activists including Martin Luther King Jr. and Nelson Mandela. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Michael King Jr was born on January 15, 1929, the world knows him by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. King was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesman and leader in the American civil rights movement from 1955 until his assassination in 1968. Dr. King played a pivotal role in ending the legal segregation of African American citizens in the U.S., influencing the creation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 .
